Stolen credit card allegedly used at Lycoming Mall
MUNCY - A credit card Muncy Township police believe was stolen from a parked vehicle allegedly was used Thursday to make nearly $2,000 in fraudulent purchases at the Lycoming Mall.
Stephen W. Morse, 25, of 1020 Penn St. allegedly escaped when he pushed a mall security officer questioning him about suspicious purchases.
Police said the card Morse used to make the purchases was taken from an undisclosed location where the victim, Edward Lyon, worked.
Morse's photo, left in a wallet he is suspected of leaving at the mall, reportedly was used by police to track him down.
Following a Tuesday arraignment before District Judge C. Roger McRae, Morse was committed the County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail.
Township police charged him with six counts each of access device fraud, receiving stolen property and identity theft.
