MONTGOMERY – Charles E. McKnight, 18, of 63 Melvina St., has been charged by Montgomery police with theft, receiving stolen property and simple assault, following a theft complaint from a 15 year old boy, according to court records filed at the office of District Judge C. Roger McRae.

The boy told police he was at the skate park at 119 First St. on June 25 when McKnight asked to look a the boy’s i-Pod, saying he returned it to the boy’s backpack, but he did not, police said.

McKnight told the boy if he filed charges, he would harm him, according to police. McKnight was arraigned before McRae on Oct. 6 and released on $3,500 bail and waived a preliminary hearing on Oct. 13.
