Married-At the residence of the bride's parents, in Muncy Creek township, on May 9, Hiram Gray, of Big Rapids, Mich., and Mrs. H.A. Phillips, eldest daughter of John Fribley, Esq.

Died-In Muncy Creek township, May 6, David Hill, aged 76 years.

The merchant tailor shop of John Dimm, on West Water street, was entered by burglars Monday night and goods to the value of $300 stolen.

Helen Golder, millwright, of this place, has charge of the repairs on the Sonestown tannery.

Russel Staufer contemplates starting up the baking business. He will run a wagon to all parts of town.

William A. Falck will begin the delivery of ice as soon as desired.

Marriage-April 25, Hughesville, Talbert W. Blakeslee, of Muncy, and Miss Anna Springer, Hughesville.

Died-In this borough, May 1, Rev. Edwin B. Raffensperger, D.D., aged 60 years; In Muncy Creek township, May 1, Susannah Lynn, aged 77 years; In Muncy Creek township, May 3, Hannah A. Sahm, aged 23 years; In this borough, May 5, Isaiah Whitlock, aged 70 years.

George Huller, of this place, who recently defeated Harry Corson in a 24-hour skating contest at the Muncy rink, last Saturday skated at the Milton rink against William Andrews of Williamsport for $100 beating his competitor by ten feet.

The mail service at the Muncy postoffice has been increased b the addition of a second morning mail west on the P. and E.

Series of Six Sermons At Baptist Church-Rev. J.D. Brehaut delivered the first sermon of the series of six, at the Baptist church, last Sunday night before a large congregation.

Blaze Causes $20,000 Loss at Gleason's-Losses estimated about $20,000 resulted from a fire which destroyed a barn and apartment building at Headacres Farm owned by James J. Gleason early Tuesday morning.

"Edge End", located near Pennsdale, was recently purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kirk, Jr., descendants of the original owners, the Ecroyd family, and will be included in the Quaker Fieldstone House tour on May 6.
