Snyder came back from 3-0 to strike out the next batter and had Burrows 2-2 a batter later. Burrows fouled off a pitch and took a ball. Then the freshman hit the game-tying, two-run single into center field. After a walk and an intentional walk, she scored the game-winning run when Emma Poorman’s grounder was mishandled.

Montgomery took the lead earlier in the game as Snyder walked, stole second and third and came home on an error, tying the game 1-1 in the fourth inning. Brynn McRae reached on an error and Jenna Waring (1 for 2) walked an inning later. Faith Persing then smacked a liner that was dropped in the outfield and both players scored, giving Montgomery a 3-1 lead until the bottom of the seventh.
