Muncy football defeats Towanda

Muncy 24, Towanda 14

Muncy trailed by a touchdown a few minutes into the game, but the Indians went ahead by the end of the first quarter and never looked back defeating the Knights, 24-14. Towanda went ahead 6-0 after a failed two-point conversion run with 9:43 to play in the first before Christian Good scored from 3 yards out to make ti a 7-6 Muncy lead. Muncy then hit a 32-yard field goal in the second quarter to take a four-point lead into the half. Branson?Eyer scored on a 20-yard run in the third quarter and Ethan?Gush had a 3-yard touchdown run in the fourth. Paul?Pepper and Gush both ran for 56 yards to lead Muncy and?Good ran for 46. Eyer also added 50 on the ground. Muncy's defense only allowed two rushing touchdowns.

Wellsboro 70, Montgomery 28

Wellsboro scored four touchdowns within 4 minutes and 13 seconds on their way to a 70-28 victory over Montgomery Friday night. Montgomery tied the game when Logan Almeida hit Steve Prince for a seven-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter. Late in the second quarter Montgomery's Kaide Drick (123 yards, touchdown) had a 16-yard run for a touchdown, and the Red Raiders held Wellsboro without a point on its next drive, but Wellsboro scored 14 straight points in 65 seconds in the third quarter. The Red Raiders finished the game with a total of 206 rushing yards.

The Spartans scored first with a four-yard run in the first two minutes of the game, but the Mounties took control in the second quarter scoring two of their own and never looked back defeating Hughesville, 39-7. Ethan Snyder finished with 105 receiving yards in the loss.
