The Reality of Heaven

By Staff | Apr 29, 2020

God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Revelation 7:17

In the midst of suffering, Job said, “Man is born of trouble as surely as sparks fly upward” (Job 5:7 NIV). I have never met a person who did not have some troubles of some kind. Fear (Corona-virus) and sickness rob us of happiness; broken relationships and shattered dreams destroy our peace.

But one of God’s greatest promises is that all of these will be forgotten in Heaven, where “there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4).

This is the supreme reality of Heaven. Throughout eternity there will be an intimate relationship between Christ and His church. He will be the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne, and He shall lead them to fountains of living waters.

With this great certainty and assurance, the future holds no terrors we cannot face. Beyond the crisis lies Heaven and the utopia of our dreams. Thus, the Christian should not be filled with fear, discouragement, or despondency. Ahead of us is Heaven! Amen

Lord, let me trust in You and believe this life is pale in comparison to Heaven; the pains will no longer be remembered. Each day should be filled with the joy and anticipation of knowing we are one day closer to an eternity with Christ.
