Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Kilgus, Hughesville, observed their 25th wedding anniversary July 28, 2009.

They were married by Monsignor James Hughes at Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Port Hueneme, Calif.

Mrs. Kilgus, a native of southern California, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael A. Schmeltzer. She graduated from Santa Clara High School, Oxnard, Calif., and attended the University of Southern California, the University of St. Thomas and William Mitchell College of Law. She is employed by the Lycoming County District Attorney’s office as an assistant district attorney.

Mr. Kilgus, a native of Picture Rocks, is the son of Chris and Oscar Kilgus, Picture Rocks. He graduated from Hughesville High School and served in the Navy Seabees. He is employed by McTish, Kunkel and Associates, Loyalsock Township, as a building inspector.

They are the parents of three daughters, Schawnne, Pittsburgh, and Catherine and Brenna, both at home.
