Couple observes 35th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Rod Costill, Allenwood, observed their 35th wedding anniversary Aug. 17, 2009.

The Rev. Donald Nolden officiated at the ceremony held at First United Methodist Church, Montgomery. They are members of Assembly of God Church.

Mrs. Costill, the former Amy Diane Shaner, is a native of Montgomery. She is the daughter of Carolyn Schreck, Turbotville, and the late Lewis Shaner. She graduated from Montgomery High School in 1974 and is a homemaker.

Mr. Costill, a native of Allenwood, is the son of June Costill, Allenwood, and the late Ted Costill. He graduated from Montgomery High School in 1973. He served in the Air Force for 20 years. He is employed by Rod Costill Trucking, Allenwood.

They are the parents of three sons, Jason B., Montgomery, and Robert O., Albuquerque, N.M., and Nicolas P., Harrisburg. There are four grandchildren.

In honor of their anniversary, a family gathering is being planned for a later date.
