Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pardoe observed their 60th wedding anniversary July 1, 2010.

They were married by the late Rev. John Knaul at Christ Lutheran Church, Montgomery.

Mrs. Pardoe, the former Marion Tallman, is a native of Montgomery. She is the daughter of the late Clyde and Helen Plotts Tallman. She graduated from the former Montgomery Clinton High School, now Montgomery Area High School, in 1949. She was employed as a civilian by the Air Force at McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey, for 31 years and retired in December 1984.

Mr. Pardoe, a native of Turbotville, is the son of the late Irvin and Hazel Becher Pardoe. He graduated from Turbotville North Mont High School in 1946. He is a veteran of the Marine Corps. He worked at both Fort Dix and McGuire Air Force Base, retiring from civil service in 1985.

They are the parents of one son, Robert C., Marlton, N.J. There are three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
