Marjorie and Albert Shaner

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Shaner will observe their 60th wedding anniversary on April 4, 2013.

They were married by the Rev. Lester Baxton in the Moreland Baptist Church, Muncy, PA. Marjorie Shaner attended and is a member of Moreland Baptist Church and they are members of Groveton Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA.

Marjorie is a native of the Muncy-Hughesville area. She is the daughter of the late Walter and Clara Murray, and a graduate from Hughesville High School. She worked at Weldon’s in Muncy, Illinois Tools Works in Vienna, VA and retired from civil service.

Albert Shaner is also a native of the Muncy-Hughesville area. He is the son of the late George and Mildred Shaner. His is a graduate from Hughesville High School and served four years in the Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from the Air Force and civil service.

They are the parents of three sons, four grandsons, four granddaughters, and one great-grandson.

In honor of their anniversary, there will be a get-together with the immediate family.
