Christie A. (McClintock) and John D. Artley of Hughesville will observe their 50th wedding anniversary July 2, 2014.

They were married by the Rev. Robert Berger at the Picture Rocks Baptist Church where they are members.

Mrs. Artley, a native of Hughesville, is the daughter of the late Hilda (Seibert) and William M. McClintock Jr. She graduated from East Lycoming High School in 1964.

Mr. Artley, a native of Picture Rocks, is the son of the late Mary (Sprout) and Donald E. Artley. He graduated from East Lycoming High School in 1963. He retired from the United States Army in 2000, and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in 2007.

They are the parents of two sons, Gregory of Hughesville and Steven (Teresa) of Muncy.

There are four grandchildren.

In honor of their anniversary, a trip to Ocean City, MD is planned for September.
