Mr. and Mrs. Max Whipple

Louise Miriam (Porzelt) and Max L. Whipple, of Loyalsock Township, will observe their 60th wedding anniversary March 25, 2015.

They were married by the Rev. Harold Washburn at Muncy Baptist Church, where they are members.

Mrs. Whipple, a native of Muncy, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.E. Grenoble. She graduated from Muncy High School in 1954 and retired from Commonwealth Bank.

Mr. Whipple, a native of Muncy, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Whipple. He graduated from Muncy High School in 1954 and the Community College of the Air Force with a degree in radar technology. He served 22 years of active duty in the Air Force, serving during Vietnam, and retired as senior master sergeant, upon which he received the Meritorious Service Medal. He also retired from Cable Services Co.

They are the parents of a son, David, of Baudette, Minnesota, and a daughter, Ronnie, of Loyalsock Township.
