Woman Jumps From Car

By Staff | May 12, 2009

MONTGOMERY – A woman riding in the front passenger seat of a car traveling north on Route 15 Sunday afternoon decided to exit it near the county landfill, Montgomery police Officer Jeffrey Houseknecht said at the Brady Township scene. “The lady jumped from a moving vehicle,” Houseknecht said. She landed along the roadside berm. It’s unknown why the unidentified woman bailed out at 1:20 p.m. Houseknecht expects the woman to physically recover. “She was just banged-up a little bit,” he said, adding she was conscious when he arrived. The woman jumped out of the vehicle on purpose, according to Houseknecht. An ambulance took her to Williamsport Hospital for treatment.
