HUGHESVILLE -Students were evacuated from the Joseph C. Ashkar Elementary School and moved to a safe location on

Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 6,after the school received a bomb scare, borough police confirmed. A state police dog, trained to detect explosives, went through the school, but found nothing, police said. All students were sent home while the investigation continued.
