Lyons Charged With Theft

Because he did not have any money to buy Christmas gifts, Nathan Jacob Lyons went looking for cash in vehicles owned by other people, state police said the 22-year-old Wolf Township man admitted to investigators.

Lyons told police he attempted to enter a handful of parked cars in the 100 block of North Main Street on the night of Dec. 14 before he found Patty Lou Thompson’s vehicle unlocked.

He reached inside and grabbed a carrying bag that contained several compact discs, and bolted from the scene when a witness yelled at him, police said.

Lyons of 215 Reservoir Road, Hughesville, has been charged with theft, theft from a vehicle and receiving stolen property.

He and has been sent a summons to appear before District Judge C. Roger McRae.
