Police Blotter (3/12/09)
On Feb. 18 a crash occurred as Susan M. Cotner, Montgomery, traveled south on SR 405, north of State Home Road and traveled off the roadway, struck a ditch off the left side with the front end of her vehicle.
A crash occurred on Feb. 18 in Clinton Township on State Hwy. 54, west of Snaurytown Road. Kimberly Forrest, Williamsport, was traveling east on SR 54 and failed to negotiate a curve left in the roadway. Forrest slid on partially ice covered roads and traveled across the travel lanes where she went into a clockwise spin on the left side of the road. Forrest then travelled off the roadway with the vehicle impacting a mail box and then a tree. Forrest was sited for driving too fast for conditions.
A crash occurred on Feb. 17 in Muncy Creek Township on State Hwy. 442 involving Roger Gordner, Millville (Unit 1); Timothy Moser, Muncy (Unit 2). The crash occurred as both Unit 1 and Unit 2 were traveling westbound on SR 442. Unit 1 was traveling behind Unit 2 when a dog crossed the road in front of Unit 2. Unit 2 attempted to slow down to avoid striking the dog at which time Unit 1 struck the rear end of Unit 2.
Maxine Plummer and Angelina Sassano, both of Lock Haven University, took merchandise displayed for sale at Sears store in the Lycoming Mall, Muncy Township, and placed it in their purses. They were observed and video taped removing tags and placing items in the purses by Sear’s Loss Prevention Associate and other employees. After being observed for 45 minutes, Plummer and Sassano were detained by the Loss Prevention Associate who then contacted the PA State Police.
On March 11 Kimberly S. Shoemaker, Wolf Township, played music inside her home at a level which disturbed her neighbor, Patrick A. Dulaney. Shoemaker was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct.
Unknown persons spray painted an aluminum tool box that was sitting in Charles Ditzler’s, Pennsdale, front yard for sale. The criminal mischief occurred in Moreland Township.
A crash occurred on March 5 in Muncy Creek Township on State Hwy. 147 at its intersection with Industrial Parkway. Elmer Lewis, Muncy, was traveling westbound on John Brady Drive and was negotiating a left turn as Jeanne O’Rourke, Montgomery, was stopped in the westbound lane waiting to make a left turn onto Industrial Park Drive. Lewis was unable to get stopped and struck O’Rourke. O’Rourke was transported by ambulance to the Muncy Valley Hospital where she was later released.
James Paul Jacoby, 35, Muncy Valley, was charged with Criminal Mischief after damaging a wooden fence on Edward Little’s property in Hughesville.
