PENNSDALE – State police confirmed last Thursday that a 62-year-old Montoursville area woman was sexually assaulted in Muncy Township sometime between 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, and and noon, Oct. 7.

Police would not comment on where the assault took place.

Investigators also would not say if the victim knew the assailant or how the attack happened.

Police were mum on the nature of her injuries and would not say if she was hospitalized.

“What information we release is what we released,” one crime supervisor said, adding that no other additional details would be disclosed at this time.
