Shoplifting alleged
PENNSDALE – Sadeeka Harris, 34, of 745 W. Edwin St., Williamsport, has been charged by state police with misdemeanor shoplifting after she reportedly was caught trying to steal a jacket from The Deb Store in the Lycoming Mall on Nov. 12. It was her second shoplifting arrest, police said. She has been sent a summons to appear before District Judge C. Roger McRae.
City woman accused in shoplifting cases
MUNCY – A Williamsport woman has been charged with three counts each of shoplifting and conspiracy for allegedly taking numerous boxes of the heartburn drug Prilosec and several packets of Gillette razors from two supermarkets, according to state police.
Vicki Lynn Young, 35, of 820 Park Ave. allegedly took the merchandise in December 2008, police said in court papers filed in November at the office of District Judge C. Roger McRae. Two of the thefts occurred at at the Giant store on East Third Street in Loyalsock Township and a third theft took place at the Weis Market on East Penn Street in Muncy Creek Township, police said.
Young has been sent a summons to appear before McRae.
Muncy man facing assault charges
John Edward Schon, 45, of 107 Division St., Muncy, faces Montoursville police charges for allegedly assaulting patron Bobbi Jo Kline in the J&R Tavern, 325 Broad St., about 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 29.
Following his arraignment on Dec. 14 before District Judge Kenneth T. Schriner Jr. on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment, Schon was released on $2,500 bail.
Kline suffered a broken nose in the attack, police said.
