Muncy woman caught with suspected cocaine
When asked by Old Lycoming Township police to empty her pants pockets during a July 4 vehicle stop on Lycoming Creek Road, Margaret R. White allegedly had crack cocaine in her possession.
White, 55, 103 W. Water St., Muncy, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by an acquaintance. Police claim another woman committed a vehicle code violation when their vehicle was stopped just after 2 a.m. near the East Roosevelt Avenue intersection.
The cocaine reportedly was wrapped in paper towels, resulting in a drug paraphernalia charge coupled with a count of controlled substance possession.
White was jailed in the county prison in lieu of $5,000 bail. She waived a Wednesday hearing before District Judge James H. Sortman.
