A Muncy area man was sentenced in county court last week for up to three years in state prison for repeated drug offenses.

County District Attorney Eric R. Linhardt said Jason M. Ritter, 26, of 1775 Route 405, was first charged this past November when city police noticed his vehicle driven at night with no tail lights.

With a search warrant, police found cocaine and marijuana inside the vehicle.

Linhardt said an arrest warrant was served Nov. 6 on Ritter, who was found to be in possession of digital scales and crack cocaine.

On Nov. 26, Ritter was involved in a Moreland Township car crash along Route 442.

Police said his blood alcohol level was 0.09 percent.

Ritter was sentenced to 1 1/2 to 3 years in prison, plus six months probation and was ordered to pay $1,500 in restitution for treatment of a passenger hurt in the crash.
