MUNCY – An inmate at the state Correctional Institution at Muncy faces charges for allegedly throwing a cup of suspected urine at a corrections officer at the jail on Route 405, according to state police.

Mariam T. White, 23, is accused of throwing the liquid at the officer about 6 p.m. April 29. No information was available Thursday night on where White is from or why she is incarcerated.

Arraigned this week before District Judge C. Roger McRae on charges of aggravated harassment by a prisoner, a felony, simple assault and harassment, White was recommitted in lieu of $10,000 bail.
