Man accused of drunken prowling
HUGHESVILLE – An area man is accused of making unwanted and intoxicated visits early Tuesday morning to two Hughesville Borough residences, including the home of his ex-girlfriend and another house whose residents local police said he barely even knew.
Colby Scott Martin, 25, allegedly urinated around 1:50 a.m. on the property of 178 S. 4th St.
The unidentified resident there reportedly was able to recognize Martin, whom he said is the ex-boyfriend of his daughter.
Borough police Chief Jason Gill said Martin fled to a 298 S. Main St. home, where he was found passed out at 2 a.m.
“The (unidentified) resident located a male at the bottom of the steps inside the house,” Gill said. “(He) was passed out and smelled of alcoholic beverages. The resident woke the male up and identified him as Colby Martin whom he barely knows.”
Martin, whose last known address is 743 Route 118, Hughesville, was arraigned Wednesday by on-call District Judge Kenneth T. Schriner Jr. on borough police charges of criminal trespass, loitering and prowling at night.
Awaiting his hearing before District Judge C. Roger McRae, Martin was committed to the county prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.
