Muncy man accused of using stolen money
HUGHESVILLE – A Muncy man faces charges for allegedly spending money at the Lycoming County Fair knowing that the cash was stolen, according to Hughesville police.
Jeromy T. Steinruck of 123 Division St. is alleged to have conspired with another man in spending at the fair $45 on July 23 that was stolen the day before from Nyoka Moser’s home at 158 S. Fourth St. the day before, police said.
Police allege Steinruck also deliberately misled officers with their investigation by giving them false information.
Charged with receiving stolen property, unsworn falsification to law enforcement and conspiracy, Steinruck has been sent a summons to appear for a preliminary hearing before District Judge C. Roger McRae.
