MUNCY – Several crashes were reported in the area last Wednesday due to slippery road conditions following an icy rain storm.

A crash occurred on Lycoming Mall Drive at Dome Drive, where a car skidded off the road and landed in a ditch about 7:40 p.m., according to Muncy Township fire officials. The driver declined treatment.

At about the same time, Muncy Creek volunteer firefighters were sent to the 7200 block of Route 442 in Moreland Township when a vehicle went over an embankment. It was unknown if anyone was hurt.
