Man accused of killing 3 deer

By Staff | Apr 21, 2011

MUNCY – A Clarkstown man faces misdemeanor charges for allegedly killing three deer behind his parents’ home after already reaching his seasonal limit of deer kill, according to the state Game Commission.

Christopher Warren Green, 21, of 217 Buck St., has been charged with three counts of unlawful killing or taking of big game and two summary offenses of unlawful possession of game or wildlife.

The charges stem from Green illegally shooting the deer behind 907 Highland Lake Road, just north of Tivoli, in Shrewsbury Township on Nov. 28, investigators said. After shooting the deer, Green gutted them and hung them in a freezer in his parents’ home, an affidavit states.

Green has been sent a summons to appear for a preliminary hearing before District Judge C. Roger McRae at the end of the month.
