Police: Unityville man wrote bad checks to store
MUNCY – Harry Joseph Cooper Jr., 29, of 101 Oak Ridge Road, Unityville, has been charged with alleged theft and writing bad checks by state police, according to court records filed at the office of District Judge C. Roger McRae.
Cooper wrote checks for two separate visits to Lowes Great Value, 2185 Route 442, Muncy Creek Township, on Aug. 2 totalling more than $1,178 on a closed account, police said.
Cooper was released on $3,500 bail and waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Oct. 6 before McRae. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Oct. 31.
