MONTGOMERY – A young man killed last month in a two-vehicle crash at Route 405 and Brick Church Road in Clinton Township was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, according to Lycoming County Coroner Charles E. Kiessling Jr.

Derek Ray Bonnell, 23, of 789 Snaurytown Road, had a blood-alcohol content level of .17 when his 2000 Cadillac and a pickup truck driven by Bryce Allen Strawser, of South Main St., collided about 3:30 a.m. on April 14, Kiessling said.

Bonnell, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the car as it rolled several times, state police said. Bonnell was pronounced dead at the scene.
