Shooting may have been accidental

MONTGOMERY – A man believed to be in his 50’s suffered a gun shot wound in what may have been an accidental shooting, according to emergency responders.

State police and emergency medical technicians rushed to a home in the 1200 block of Home State Road in Clinton Township just before 9 a.m. last Tuesday to investigate a report of a gunshot victim who suffered a wound to his chest.

The man was taken by ambulance to the Williamsport Regional Medical Center. His identity and medical condition were not available.

State police had no information to release about the incident. It is believed the man was shot by a .22 caliber handgun.

Details remain sketchy as the investigation continues.
