Hughesville bank robbed
HUGHESVILLE – Hughesville police have released a description of the man who robbed the First National Bank last Monday, August 27.
According to police, the man entered the bank from the Main Street side of the building at about 3:45 p.m.
The robber, who had both hands in his pockets, approached a teller. He was given an undisclosed amount of money from the till.
No weapon was displayed.
The man left through the same door he entered and fled in an unknown direction, according to police.
Police said the man is white, about 47 years old, has a slender build with a thin face, stands about 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-7 and weighs about 140 to 150 pounds.
He was wearing light colored sneakers, blue jeans, and a gray hooded sweatshirt, a dark baseball cap and aviator sunglasses.
Police noted that the man was “very soft spoken.”
