Mall loses power

By Staff | Jul 30, 2013

MUNCY – All stores except Yogurt Yummy reopened at the Lycoming Mall Saturday, according to a mall official. An electrical transformer blew at the mall early Friday morning, causing about 20 stores and restaurants – about a quarter of the mall’s stores – to close.

It is unknown when the yogurt store will reopen.

A bad wire is believed to be the problem. About $2,000 worth of food had to be moved out of the Subway restaurant there. The public restrooms also were out of service due to the outage, according to a WNEP report.
