HUGHESVILLE – Jeb Allen Boings, 19, of 152 Boak Ave., has been charged with simple assault and harassment for allegedly punching a 17-year-old girl in the jaw and trying to choke her inside his Wolf Township home on July 6, state police said.

Initially jailed on a probation violation, Boings was arraigned before District Judge Jerry C. Lepley and now is free on $5,000 bail. He has since waived his preliminary hearing.
