Assault alleged on corrections officers
MUNCY – An inmate at the state Correctional Institution at Muncy faces assault-related charges for allegedly spitting on and kicking two corrections offices at the jail on the afternoon of Sept. 15, 2012, according to state police who recently filed the charges at the office of District Judge Jon E. Kemp.
Dawn Marie Ball, 43, has been charged with aggravated harassment by prisoner and aggravated and simple assault for her alleged actions that occurred while officers were conducting a routine cell inspection, police said.
No information was available on why Ball is an inmate at the jail. Following her recent arraignment before Kemp, she was returned there in lieu of $100,000 bail.
