Two face sexual assault charges
MUNCY- In late November, Anthony M. Snyder, 25, and Jordan J. Walters, 18, both of 91 O’Dell Road, were accused of statutory sexual assault and corrupting the morals of a minor.
It was alleged the two men had sexual relations with different teenage girls on the same night at a location somewhere in the borough.
The original charges filed by Muncy Borough Police were withdrawn and refiled by state police as a result of new evidence regarding the location of the incident.
Further investigation revealed the alleged offenses occurred at the men’s residence in Fairfield Township on Nov. 7, according to an affidavit filed at District Judge Gary W. Whiteman’s office.
Upon his arrest, Walters admitted to police he had sexual relations with a 14-year-old victim. He also made admissions to the victim’s mother in text messages, state police said.
Following a recent preliminary hearing before District Judge Gary W. Whiteman, Walters was released on $40,000 bail.
Snyder, upon his arrest, admitted to having sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl, court documents alleged.
He was committed to Lycoming County Prison on Nov. 22 in lieu of $40,000 bail.
