Alleged copper thief faces charges

MUNCY – Curtis L. Shreck, 18, of 47 Sulphur Spring Road, faces theft-related charges for allegedly stealing more than 100 pounds of copper and aluminum from Rishel’s Window Shop, 102 E. Water St., from Nov. 5 to Nov. 12, while he was employed there, according to Muncy Borough Police.

Shreck also is accused of stealing an iPhone and three packs of cigarettes from a residence at 14 N. Market St. on Oct. 30, court papers said. The phone was recovered but the cigarettes were not, according to police.

Shreck has been sent a summons to appear before District Judge Jon E. Kemp where he will face charges of retail theft and receiving stolen property.
