MUNCY – More charges have been filed against Lycoming County Prison inmate Carl Byron Jacobs III, according to court records filed at the office of District Judge Jon E. Kemp.

Jacobs, 26, faces additional felony charges of theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly taking Shirley E. Newcomer’s Mercury Cougar from outside her home at 1809 Route 405 in Muncy Creek Township on the afternoon of Dec. 1, state police said.

Following his arraignment before Kemp, Jacobs, was recommitted in lieu of $100,000 bail.
