Man arrested for rape
MUNCY – A 58-year-old Muncy man wanted for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl in Binghamton, N.Y., was arrested by U.S. Marshals Service last Monday night at his borough home, according to U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane.
Bruce Simons was charged Jan. 7 by Binghamton police with rape. He was arrested about 5:20 p.m. Monday at a home in the 400 block of Pepper Street.
Arraigned as a fugitive from justice before District Judge James G. Carn, Simons was placed in Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
