Jonathon S. Baker, 28, of 2816 Roaring Run Road, Hughesville, was charged by borough police with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia following an incident outside Chango’s Cantina on North Main Street in Mansfield on April 5.

Police said they saw Baker sitting in a car and he appeared suspicious.

As an officer approached the car, the driver reached over toward the passenger seat with both arms.

The officer ran toward the vehicle to make sure there were no weapons on the passenger seat, and a quick look inside the car showed a syringe, a spoon and six blue wax papers, police said.

Baker was released on $2,500 bail and his preliminary hearing set for April 16.
