MUNCY – A Muncy area couple have been arrested for conspiring to allegedly steal $172 worth of cigarettes from Smoker’s Express, 16 S. Main St., on Jan. 17, according to borough police.

Lee Larue Worthington, 27, and his wife, Amanda, 31, both of 207 Huffman Lane, have been charged with receiving stolen property and conspiracy. The husband faces an additional charge of misdemeanor shoplifting, police said.

Following their recent arraignment before District Judge Jon E. Kemp, the two were released on $2,500 bail each.
