Man faces 3 charges for sexual assault
MUNCY – A Fairfield Township man faces three sets of charges, including one accusing him of statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and corrupting the morals of a minor.
The charges against Jorden Jene Walters, 18, of 91 Odell Road, stem from his allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl in Muncy overnight Jan. 16, Muncy police said.
In the same criminal complaint, police accused Walters of allegedly sending the girl photos of his private parts via his cellphone.
In a second criminal complaint, borough police have charged Walters with five counts each of theft, theft from a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property and conspiracy.
These charges stem from Walters allegedly stealing numerous items, ranging from GPS units to iPods, from five vehicles parked at various locations in the borough last August.
The vehicles were parked in the 300 block of Buttonwood Lane, first block of East Water Street and the first and 100 blocks of South Main Street, police said.
The third set of charges against Walters includes possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia stemming from an incident in the first block of South Main Street on Jan. 24.
Following his recent arraignment before District Judge Jon E. Kemp, Walters was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $95,000 bail.
