Teen hurt in ATV crash
LAIRDSVILLE – A teenage girl was flown to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, for treatment of injuries she suffered when the all-terrain vehicle she was operating struck a tree on Cleman Hollow Road, about five miles east of Franklin Township at 5:20 p.m. last Saturday, according to Lairdsville fire officials.
The girl’s identity and medical condition were not available. She was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. From the scene, she was taken by ambulance to the Carl G. Renn Elementary school, where a medical helicopter landed and then took her to the medical center.
