Two men arrested for allegedly breaking into American Legion
MONTGOMERY – Two men from the borough have been arrested and jailed on charges of allegedly breaking into the LRB’s Country Road House restaurant on Miller Avenue and the American Legion Post 251 on Broad Street, according to state police.
Police allege that after breaking into the restaurant, Joseph Edward Gibson, 33, and Dakota Lee Patchen, 22, both of 58 Broad St., stole $360 cash, $125 worth of liquor and two flat screen television sets overnight Nov. 22.
The two men also are accused of breaking into the American Legion on New Year’s Day, but they fled empty-handed after tripping a burglar alarm, police said.
Arraigned last week on charges of burglary, felony trespassing, theft, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief and conspiracy, Patchen, already on probation for burglary, and Gibson remain jailed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail each.
