MUNCY – Wendy Renee Kilgus, 39, of 307 W. Penn St., has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, after her 3-year-old son wandered from the family’s home and was gone nearly 40 minutes before the mother realized he was missing, according to borough police.

The incident occurred on the late afternoon of April 3, police said. The child was found safe standing alone at West Penn and Painter streets, just a half a block of away from the house, police said.

She has been sent a summons to appear before District Judge Jon E. Kemp.
