PENNSDALE – Jeffrey Allan Taylor, 53, of 140 Bitner Park Lot 17, Trout Run, is facing charges after attempting to purchase a firearm from Gander Mountain, 66 Mall Parkway, Pennsdale.

According to an affidavit filed by Muncy Township police, Taylor filled out the required forms to undergo a background check and purchase a gun. On the form, Taylor allegedly marked “no” to a question that asked if the purchaser had ever been convicted of a felony or crime for which a judge could imprison them for more than one year.

A background check found that Taylor had been convicted and was denied the right to a firearm due to his criminal history.

Taylor was sent a summons to appear before District Judge Jon E. Kemp on a felony charge of sale and transfer of firearm and a misdemeanor charge of unsworn falsification to authorities.
