MUNCY – Brad Alan Mitsdarfer, 41, of 296 Angletown Road, has been charged with simple assault for allegedly pointing a handgun at his wife, Robyn, during a family cookout at the couple’s Muncy Creek Township home on Aug. 2, state police said.

Police also charged him with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a bag of the controlled substance was discovered in his pants pocket.

Arraigned before District Judge Allen P. Page III, Mitsdarfer was released on $10,000 bail. He waived his preliminary hearing.
