Jacob Paul Fry, 27, of 528 Kehrer Road, Muncy, has been charged with theft by deception and shoplifting for allegedly stealing two bottles of liquor from the Wines and Spirits store in the Giant Plaza on East Third Street on May 15, state police said. The loss to the store was $43.

Police said Fry had two friends return the bottles for a refund at two Wines and Spirits stores; one in the Giant Plaza and the other in Hepburn Plaza in a the city.

Following his arraignment Monday before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman, Fry was released on $2,500 bail.
