26-year-old accused of stealing neighbor’s laptop
ALLENWOOD – A 26-year-old man faces charges for allegedly stealing a neighbor’s laptop and then selling it for $50, which he used to buy five bags of heroin, according to state police.
Brett Michael Diehl, of 1778 Gap Road, has been charged with theft and receiving stolen property for stealing Venessa Renee Fisher’s laptop from her home at 1526 Gap Road on July 20.
The alleged theft occurred two months after Diehl survived a heroin overdose at his home. As a result of that incident on May 23, he was charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia after police recovered a bag of the controlled substance at the house.
He was arraigned last week before District Judge Jon E. Kemp on the two set of charges, and was released on $15,000 bail.
