UNITYVILLE – A Union County man has been charged with forgery and receiving stolen property for allegedly using a stolen check to purchase $1,069 worth of merchandise from Lowe’s in Bloomsburg last November, according to the state police.

Allen Lee Diggan, 29, of New Columbia, was arraigned last week before District Judge Jon E. Kemp and released on $35,000 bail.

Police said the check was taken in a burglary that occurred at Carl Brainin’s home in Jordan Township.
