MONTGOMERY – Kevin Michael Hegarty, 43, of Lehighton, has been charged with simple assault and harassment for allegedly striking his girlfriend, Kathleen Ann Kattner, several times in the head and face while the two were staying at the White Deer Motel on Route 15 in Clinton Township on Oct. 26, state police said.

Arraigned that night before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman, Hegarty remains jailed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.
