MUNCY – A two-alarm fire damaged a family’s North Washington Street home in Muncy, Thursday morning, Dec. 18.

Fire broke out around 9:45 a.m. and multiple volunteer fire companies arrived on scene, including Muncy area and Montoursville.

Flames were erupting from the attic windows as firefighters entered the building and rode ladders up the two-story house toward the blaze.

Two adults and five children lived at the residence and everyone got out safely, according to initial reports from firefighters on the scene.

The fire was out and roads were reopened around 10:45 a.m.
