MONTGOMERY – Daniel L. Long, 52, of Montandon, has been charged with cruelty to animals for his alleged neglect of two cats at a Clinton Township property in the 400 block of Heilman Circle in early November, according to the local chapter of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Due to their condition, both cats had to be euthanized, court records state. Following his recent arraignment before District Judge Jon E. Kemp, Long was released on $5,000 bail.
